These Past two weeks I have found that maybe I became lazy… or I know what works for me! They always say, “Don’t fix what is not broken” right? Well This program has taught me what to eat, what foods are complaint, and what foods my body (and family) enjoyed.
We were pretty simple the last 2 weeks and did not try anything new… We knew that we liked simple with 1 new meal a week… I liked having the family try something new and hope that it worked well. If not, we knew not to try it again!
Today I honestly can sit here and say- I know this program has worked for my family… Not only in weight loss for my husband and I, but for the aspect of having my children be able to focus more while at home and in their activities! Sugar is more than a yummy goodness our bodies crave- it truly deteriorates your brain and functionality! After Whole30 we will incorporate the same meals into our days with the occasional treat and cheat, the kids will get their Annie’s Organic Fruit Snacks, their Honest Juice Boxes, and pringles/goldfish- hey- they are kids and I grew up eating toaster strudels and frosted flakes for breakfast- and I survived!
I am excited to start Whole30 again, with a few exceptions and helping a group of ladies into the GAME CHANGER!!!!! We start February 6th… will you join us?

Sitting here thinking about my journey as a Beachbody Coach and what is going on in my life right now and it made me think of all the times I had to start over!!!
Lets see…. Joined a Gym in 2008 after I had my daughter—7 months into going to the gym daily (waking at 4am because I had school) i found out I was pregnant with Neyko…. After I had Neyko in Oct 2009 I started at the gym again (FAILED— I wanted sleep and the gym was not working for me) THEN I bought P90X off of an informercial in March of 2010— quit 4 week in— i was afraid you succeed… for a full year I tried every fad diet, diet pill, and anything I could get my hands on to try and lose weight while still being sane enough to take care of my kids (yes diet pills and not eating makes you moody and crazy)
Then the LIGHT was brought to me by My coach… for several month she messaged me and messaged me about trying shakeology and I said no no no… then said LETS TRY IT with the discount because I could never help anyone else— So Signed as a discount coach for the 25% and FELL in LOVE!!!!
Was I 100% clean eating and 100% stay on track when I restarted P90X in 2011?? NO… there were many slip ups, many picnics and parties that I would have cake and ice cream and goodies! But I never let that derail me from the success I knew I wanted and I was worth! So I would pick back up and keep going!
3 years into my journey and life happens…. you get sick (i have not felt myself since Vegas (last week in June)) and you eat off track, you miss workouts, and you just want to sleep and do nothing (miserable, unmotivated) yep that has been me! Am I giving up? NO! Am I starting over? not completely but you could say YES! This is Life, This is my struggle… BUT this is me!!!
NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU HAVE TO START OVER, REMEMBER IT IS OK!!! WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE A TIME OR TWO AND WE WILL BE HERE TO HELP AND SUPPORT YOU NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
I have started over more than I would like to admit, but each time I feel stronger because of those obstacles that have got in my way!!!
How many times have you given up or had to start over???
Success can and will be determined by how you look at life! To you want to live in your past or do you want to plan a future? You have the choice to live how you want to!
Today I want to help you live your life by being the motivation, choosing the right path, and having something to look forward to!
Step 1: Choose a WHY, Why do you want to live a better life, Why do you want to be successful, WHY do you want to be healthy and live a fulfilling life…. That is the Question you have to ask yourself and respond…. Write out your response!
My WHY to be successful is to Lead a positive and healthy environment for my children so they know they can live and do whatever they put their mind too!
Step 2: Set out goals: whether you are setting out goals for your future, your life, your business, your fitness… Make a List of 10 and follow them through! I like to say reverse engineer them! So if you want to lose 10 lbs in 4 weeks, that is 2.5 lbs a week- what do you need to do daily to lose that weight? Workout every day and eat 5-6 small meals a day—follow the stripped plan! Weight yourself once a week, same day and time to check your progress! Join accountability group! Or if it is a business goal to get 5 coaches to join your team this month, how will you recruit them? #1 thats 1 coach every 6 days, #2 advertise and invite those you know who would rock as coaches, #3 start a coach camp!
Step 3: Find Accountability for your Success: get with someone or a group of people that have similar goals as you! being a beachbody coach I have several groups that keep me accountable! 1 for my fitness, challenge group! and a 2nd for my business, coach camp!
When I was finally tired of the excuses and wanted change in my life- I committed! I gave it my all and this is how the life i chose has turned out so far!!!! I think its pretty darn good =)

Cody is a momma of 3, wife, and 3 star qualifying Diamond Coach! She is passionate, gorgeous, and became like family! She found me through Facebook from a mutual friend! She knew she wanted change and she got it! She joined me in July 2012 and I am so glad she did! She has made me a stronger leader and I just love her and her drive!!!
Morgan: We met in college, never close but knew off each other… Morgan is a 1 star qualifying coach, she joined me in April 2013 and has ran with this business since day 1! She set goals to leave her job and move in with her fiancé and those goal s were reached in noo time! She is getting married in August and I am honored to be apart of her day!!!
Nataly: I cannot even tell you how much I love this girl! Nataly and I met when we were 16 working at AE, we became close and then lost touch through college, marriage and life! 2 years ago beachbody brought us back together and I could not be happier!!!! I love her passion and drive! She is am AMAZING mom, wife, full time employee, and softball coach! She is currently a 1 star qualifying diamond (went from emerald to 1 star qualifying in 60 days) AMAZING how this girl will set a goal and CRUSH it!!!!!

When I got pregnant I thought I would always work for my Dad at his local business as a office girl. At the time I was earning $10 per hour and it’s a small business so I knew I wasn’t ever going to earn much more than that. My thoughts for our future were basically WTH ?!? Living paycheck to paycheck I honestly had no plan on how to get out of that & I just thought I would keep doing what we were doing & I was hoping for a miracle i guess!
When I was younger I always said I would be a present parent and be a stay at home mom ….
I never in a million years ever thought I would be earning over a couple hundred dollars weekly . I never was a super star over achiever at anything really but when I would find something I loved I would go all out. I never found anything I really LOVED that was my true calling until this opportunity as a beachbody coach.
I still remember how stressed we were when we started putting in more time than the pay checks were…. $30 a week, $0 some weeks….
Then I remember the morning I made $1,000 . Its not because of what I do that I am making this money but because of my amazing team! I may not have the most ideal position with having the #2 coach as one of my personally sponsored coaches, but the success of my team and them proving that if you dream big enough anything can happen!
I’m still shocked every single week! Like today I had my biggest check to date and all from helping ppl?!? Crazy! I earned $10,000 in 1 week n that’s more than I use to make in 6 months working 40 hours per week. INSANE!!!
I’m so grateful for this business, this opportunity, for the CEO Carl Daikeler & his wife Isabelle. I am grateful for the amazing products they create, for shakeology, the ultimate reset, etc that not only have changed my life but have changed THOUSANDS of my customers/coaches lives. I don’t think I could ever put into words how grateful I am on so many levels. If it wasn’t for this I probably would still be broke, negative, stressed, and the big thing is that my husband and I probably wouldn’t be together… This saved our family!
My message to you guys is that YOU CAN DO THIS. As you can see my story I was broke, shy, no goals, no dreams, not a fitness professional, etc but I made a change. Thank you for reading my blog today and I hope that my story could possibly inspire you to make a change. I was so nervous to post this video because like I said I never want anyone to think I am bragging at all but I was inspired to post this from some of my biggest mentors …. I decided to do it because If i could inspire just 1 person to change their life like this opportunity has changed mine ITS 100% WORTH IT!!!
One thing I have found myself doing in the beginning of my journey was getting on the scale EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! Noticing my body would lose 2 lbs and gain 3… lose 4, gain 0… It was always a roller coaster when I would step on the scale! I had to make a commitment with myself that I would only weight in on Saturday (one day a week). This way I would see how I felt throughout the week, stay on track each day and push hard to see the results on Saturday!
I was not only weighing myself on saturday’s, but I would also measure and see if any inches were lost! There were some weeks I would not lose weight but would lose inches and vice versa! Weight loss journey is more than what the number on the scale says, it is about how you look and feel! If you are Eating the recommended CLEAN calories, working out daily, and drinking plenty of water- you will lose weight and inches!
I have found over the last 2 years, that muscle weighs the same as fat but takes up less space! When you are working out, whether it is lifting weights of cardio- you will be gaining muscle, muscle burns fat and in return helps you lose inches but not necessarily weight! This is why I started taking my progress pictures weekly and measuring my success by how clothes fit! So I saved an outfit from when I was in college (NOT SURE WHY) but finally 6 years, 2 kids, and 80+ lbs gained later…… I tried them on! GUESS WHAT IT FIT!!!!
its not always how much you weigh, it is how you feel, and what you look like! It you are happy in your skin you will glow- it will show how healthy you are making your lifestyle!

Here’s the deal: When soda, fast food, and high sugar snacks are staples in your diet, you’re gonna get fat. And that’s exactly how I ballooned to over 230 pounds. Sure I went on “diets” over the years, and once I actually even got below 190, but I’ve consistently weighed over 200 for the vast majority of my adult life. I wasn’t happy with my health, or how my body looked, but eventually I just accepted that I was always going to be one of the fat guys.
Taking my shirt off in public was always an embarrassing act of humility and I grew a full beard to hide my lack of a defined jawline. I’ve been on cholesterol and acid reflux medications for years due to my ever-expanding belly and poor diet. On one recent check-up the doctor called me obese—I was furious and wanted to call him much worse. Unfortunately, he was right and I knew it. The reality was, I was barely 40 and ridiculously unhealthy. I had a wonderful wife and two beautiful young children at home and what kind of example was I setting for them? What would happen to my family if I were no longer around? And how much longer could I really sustain this lifestyle? I didn’t like the answers to those questions so I took on the challenge to change.
First I did P90X and my confidence in what I could accomplish soared. Next up was P90X2 then LES MILLS COMBAT. I couldn’t get enough! I kept hearing how tough INSANITY was, and since I’m all about tough these days I said, “Bring it on!” INSANITY was great at pushing me beyond my limits and expectations. It allowed me to modify as needed while constantly pushing me to do better. The mix of cardiovascular work and resistance exercises gave me the exact kind of improvement in my fitness that I always dreamed about. I also drank Shakeology and there’s no doubt that it boosted my energy while helping me effectively balance my nutrition. Today I weigh 170, am a lot less round, and have surpassed most of my goals. My friends ask me where the rest of me went and I say, “Beachbody baby!” And even though I’m smaller than I’ve ever been I’m actually much stronger. I’ve cut my body fat from 30% down to 12% and have impressed my doctor so much that he isn’t calling me obese anymore, that’s for sure. Thanks to Beachbody, I feel great in mind, body, and spirit. I’m now a Beachbody Coach and love helping others achieve what I just did. My self-esteem is through the roof and it’s fantastic to hear people marvel in disbelief at my improved appearance. I have been a Beachbody coach for 2 years and I would be lying if I said getting to where I am today was easy… IT WAS NOT! I had struggles and plateaus, I had days where I felt like I was failing my coaches and challengers, and days where I was unworthy of all the success I have achieved! But knowing the support was there I gave up negative and got some courage to build myself day in and day out to make myself know I WAS WORTH and capable of amazing thing- NO ONE was going to design me I WAS!
