As many of you know I am on my postpartum Journey still, 13 months postpartum, but my body is nowhere near where it was pre pregnancy 3!  I want to get on track with my clean eating and what better way to do it than in a group! I have done Whole30, which it is great- I found myself binging after I finished it- almost way too restricted =/ Where when I followed the Stripped Plan 6 years ago, my health and nutrition skyrocketed! Whole 30 Week 3 and 4 Review

These Past two weeks I have found that maybe I became lazy… or I know what works for me! They always say, “Don’t fix what is not broken” right? Well This program has taught me what to eat, what foods are complaint, and what foods my body (and family) enjoyed.

We were pretty simple the last 2 weeks and did not try anything new… We knew that we liked simple with 1 new meal a week… I liked having the family try something new and hope that it worked well. If not, we knew not to try it again!

Today I honestly can sit here and say- I know this program has worked for my family… Not only in weight loss for my husband and I, but for the aspect of having my children be able to focus more while at home and in their activities! Sugar is more than a yummy goodness our bodies crave- it truly deteriorates your brain and functionality! After Whole30 we will incorporate the same meals into our days with the occasional treat and cheat, the kids will get their Annie’s Organic Fruit Snacks, their Honest Juice Boxes, and pringles/goldfish- hey- they are kids and I grew up eating toaster strudels and frosted flakes for breakfast- and I survived!

How 21 Day Fix Surprised and Challenged Staci! PLUS amazing results!

The first week was the hardest, believing you can make it through the 1 minute workout intervals was my biggest challenge!!! What should I do? “I Need Advice on Snacking at Night”

This is the Message I got that posed my blog for today =) “I need some advice! Lol! During the day while I’m at work I do great with drinking my Shakeology and eating the 21 day fix meals however when I get home I really have a hard time controlling myself from the cupboard.. When I get home all I want to do is eat, eat, eat, and I don’t know what to do and my weakness is peanut butter! Thankfully most of the things I eat when I get home are healthy things but sometimes I go overboard even in healthy food especially on the PB when I get home I feel like oh I worked out I can eat this and be okay then I eat to much for my portions from the 21 day meal plan and then the next day I feel awful and guilty about doing it…what should I do!?”

I use to be the same way!!!! Everything sounded good and I would rationalize in my mind why I deserve to have what I wanted. I workout so I should be able to eat whatever I want-> Wrong 80% of your results come from the foods you eat. What you eat in Private shows to the PUBLIC =)

I use to think” 1 handful of goldfish are fine, they won’t ruin my progress. But goldfish or sweets every night over the course of months can make a difference!!!!

So put on your big girl pants and visualize a stop sign, the kitchen is closed. Grab some green tea and get your mind busy! Your results depend on your ability to overcome obstacles and flex your will power muscles!!!! Throw the  junk and crap away… I had to get rid of Peanut butter for that reason, I would sit and eat it… then another spoonful, one more won’t kill me!

But also have everything prepped so when you get home your snack is ready while you make dinner!!! ALSO start setting times to eat, set alarms on your phone so you eat every 2-3 hours and say ok no fruit after 4pm or NO carbs with dinner…. the more you eat throughout the day… the less you want food at night!!!

ALSO DRINK YOUR WATER! Make sure you drink 8-16 ounces between meals! When you get hungry chug water!

My biggest indulgence was Girl Scout Cookies, so no i did not stay away from sugar!!! If I would have my results may have been better!!! BUT I am happy with where I got! The 21 day fix is an AMAZING program and has changed my outlook on food and portions!

 

Now my hubby’s results are AMAZING!!!! He followed the meal plan to a T, I packed every day for him all 6 meals and he went on his way to work! We worked out in the morning before he had to leave for work and lets just say, i am PROUD of his dedication to 30 minute workouts (he did not think it was long enough to give him results!)
