#1: Look Forward! Stop looking backwards- you aren’t going there!

You have to know where you want to go without wishing you were where you once were. 

#2: Set Goals: and Break them down into smaller goals!

You have to be able to have specific, measurable, attainable, reachable, and time sensitive goals that you can be proud of and more motivated when you get to those LARGE goals!

#3: Celebrate each and every little thing!

CELEBRATE the achievements! From working out 5-7 days a week, to losing a lb or even eating health 80% of the time! Give yourself a prize! A bath with a bath bomb (my favorites), a new workout tank, get your nails done!


You have to look at how far you have come when you check in, not how far you still have to go! Life happens and when you can look at all the accomplishments you have achieved, you are going to be able to stay motivated to keep going!


Commit every single day to be better than you were yesterday, Commit to your goals, Commit to what you want to achieve and WHY you want to achieve those goals!

Whole 30 Week 3 and 4 Review

These Past two weeks I have found that maybe I became lazy… or I know what works for me! They always say, “Don’t fix what is not broken” right? Well This program has taught me what to eat, what foods are complaint, and what foods my body (and family) enjoyed.

We were pretty simple the last 2 weeks and did not try anything new… We knew that we liked simple with 1 new meal a week… I liked having the family try something new and hope that it worked well. If not, we knew not to try it again!

Today I honestly can sit here and say- I know this program has worked for my family… Not only in weight loss for my husband and I, but for the aspect of having my children be able to focus more while at home and in their activities! Sugar is more than a yummy goodness our bodies crave- it truly deteriorates your brain and functionality! After Whole30 we will incorporate the same meals into our days with the occasional treat and cheat, the kids will get their Annie’s Organic Fruit Snacks, their Honest Juice Boxes, and pringles/goldfish- hey- they are kids and I grew up eating toaster strudels and frosted flakes for breakfast- and I survived!

How many of you sit and think about being able to workout out or lose your baby weight, or lose those freshman 15 that turned into 30? We all want to be somewhere we aren’t! Even if we are at 100 lbs we want to have muscle and look fit right???? Well there is a reason why people are put into our life and why we interact with them! I see people everyday want to be someone they are not, but then fail at the goals they set for themselves!


This is a girl I have known for YEARS! We reconnected after having babies and she asked what I was doing, I told her what program and she said oh I have Insanity I can do that! Then she would call me every day sometimes every week and ask how I changed my diet, what was I doing at this moment because she wanted to try it! She became faithful to her workouts and nutrition, never had to second guess getting her workout in- that was a no brainer. But she was a tempted girl in the nutrition area! Being a nurse she knew what was good for you and what was bad, what to eat and what to stay away from, but she still loved her hoagies and pizza (don’t we all). She finally got addicted to shakeology and has never missed a day!




Brandee Started at 157 lbs and is now, 2 years later 115 pounds! Did she have a goal, of course- she wanted to look amazing on her wedding day and on her honeymoon! Well she hit that goal for sure! From a size 10-12 to a 2-4, absolutely amazing how life can get in the way but when you get educated and serious about what you want- you make it happen! So proud to call her a friend!

Here’s the deal: When soda, fast food, and high sugar snacks are staples in your diet, you’re gonna get fat. And that’s exactly how I ballooned to over 230 pounds. Sure I went on “diets” over the years, and once I actually even got below 190, but I’ve consistently weighed over 200 for the vast majority of my adult life. I wasn’t happy with my health, or how my body looked, but eventually I just accepted that I was always going to be one of the fat guys.

Taking my shirt off in public was always an embarrassing act of humility and I grew a full beard to hide my lack of a defined jawline. I’ve been on cholesterol and acid reflux medications for years due to my ever-expanding belly and poor diet. On one recent check-up the doctor called me obese—I was furious and wanted to call him much worse. Unfortunately, he was right and I knew it. The reality was, I was barely 40 and ridiculously unhealthy. I had a wonderful wife and two beautiful young children at home and what kind of example was I setting for them? What would happen to my family if I were no longer around? And how much longer could I really sustain this lifestyle? I didn’t like the answers to those questions so I took on the challenge to change.

First I did P90X and my confidence in what I could accomplish soared. Next up was P90X2 then LES MILLS COMBAT. I couldn’t get enough! I kept hearing how tough INSANITY was, and since I’m all about tough these days I said, “Bring it on!” INSANITY was great at pushing me beyond my limits and expectations. It allowed me to modify as needed while constantly pushing me to do better. The mix of cardiovascular work and resistance exercises gave me the exact kind of improvement in my fitness that I always dreamed about. I also drank Shakeology and there’s no doubt that it boosted my energy while helping me effectively balance my nutrition. Today I weigh 170, am a lot less round, and have surpassed most of my goals. My friends ask me where the rest of me went and I say, “Beachbody baby!” And even though I’m smaller than I’ve ever been I’m actually much stronger. I’ve cut my body fat from 30% down to 12% and have impressed my doctor so much that he isn’t calling me obese anymore, that’s for sure. All my meds have been cut in half and if I maintain my stats through the fall, I get to ditch the pills altogether.

Thanks to Beachbody, I feel great in mind, body, and spirit. I’m now a Beachbody Coach and love helping others achieve what I just did. My self-esteem is through the roof and it’s fantastic to hear people marvel in disbelief at my improved appearance. Losing weight the Beachbody way is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and now instead of being the fat guy, I’ve turned into one of the fittest people around—and it feels great!

Meet Michelle P- Beachbody’s $500 Transformation Winner



I knew I was heavier than I should be—I always wore black, always hid in the back row of photos, and even made “fat” jokes about myself, but the day my 10-year-old son came home and told me that his health class talked about me was the day I truly hit rock bottom.

When I asked him to explain, he said they didn’t mention me by name. But when they talked about the effects that being overweight has on a person, he immediately started thinking about me. And when his teacher said that overweight people can become depressed and even suicidal, he started crying because he loved me and didn’t want me to die just because I was fat.
How could I not be moved by that?

So I went straight to a friend who was a Beachbody Coach. She smiled and told me about 10-Minute Trainer, thinking it would be a great way for me to get started. And it was. images-3

Pretty soon, I wasn’t doing just one 10-minute workout a day, I was up to three! And I loved it. At first, I had to modify some of the moves, because I couldn’t do them. But I kept at it and by the end of the program, I was able to do the moves AND keep up with Tony and the girls in the video. The calorie burn was awesome.And guess what? I’ve lost 31 pounds and 23 total inches. I FEEL stronger. I walk with a purpose and a sense of pride I haven’t had in years.

And when I run into people I haven’t seen for a while, the look on their faces is priceless. They are amazed at my transformation and I love it! My self-confidence is through the roof and I feel like I can accomplish anything. My next goal is to complete P90X and now I know I can do it!
All I can say is “thanks, Beachbody,” and thanks to my Coach, Tammy, for saving my life!

Best of all, I feel so great that my son has watched me through this journey. We exercise together. We play together. And hopefully, I’ve motivated him to continue along the same path!

What Kenna S. won:
Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?* I had always been active. But when I got pregnant everything stopped. For some reason I was scared I’d hurt the baby if I worked out to much. So I just didn’t workout. I’d go for short walks but thats about it. I ended up gaining 80 lbs. during my pregnancy and was the biggest I had ever been in my life. I was depressed and hated how I looked. I couldn’t really do anything without getting out of breath. I would walk and my knees would hurt and I would sweat so much just doing little things. I ate whatever I wanted and at all times of the night and day. I guess I kinda felt like the weight was ok since I was pregnant. But once I had my son I quickly realized that I had a huge mess on my hands with all of this weight.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey? * I had my son a few months before and we had some friends coming over for a get together at our house. I thought I’d try this new workout video I got…. It was a WALKING video. And so I started it and it was one of the hardest things, just to do a walking video. I couldn’t even complete it. I was sweating so bad and felt like total crap. I was so mad that I let myself get this way and mad that I didn’t take care of myself when I was pregnant. So I started crying to my husband and said I’ve got to change and get this weight off. I can’t wear any of my clothes and what I did wear I didn’t think looked good. I knew I had to do something, so I decided to start the P90X. Even if I couldn’t finish it I would try.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge? * After having my son in May of 2009 I decided this is enough and I had to figure out a way to get this weight off. I saw the infomercial for P90X and knew that was the only program that was honestly gonna give me my body back. I knew there was no short cut for weight loss and I just had to put in the hard work. What got me to purchase the program was a woman on there in a Pink Bikini saying that she was a Mom and able to workout at home. It’s crazy because I can still remember her before and after pictures in my mind. She made a huge impression on me. I remember wanting to be like her because she looked so happy. And I felt like total crap about myself. I had never been this much over weight and I was depressed about it. I purchased P90X. And I made a choice to change. So I got the P90X videos in the mail and I was so excited to start it. Beachbody taught me to Eat Right and modify workouts until I can master them. Beachbody has truly changed my life.
Why did you choose this particular program? * I chose P90X because it seemed like people had the best results and I wanted to get the BEST RESULTS. I remember seeing a woman in a Pink bikini on the infomercial saying she was a mom and how she was able to transform her body all while working out at home and still taking care of her kids. It’s funny because I can still see that woman and what she was wearing in her before and after pictures in my mind. She made a huge impact on me buying the videos.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose? * I loved that it was something different everyday. Not the same workout that you do day in day out. It was different and I liked that. I liked using the weights since I had not done anything in almost a year and gained 80 lbs. I knew I needed to build muscle. I liked the push ups. I had NEVER done more than 2 push ups back to back in my life. I liked that it came with resistance bands and nutrition guide. Since I had been eating so much fast food and processed foods it’s almost like I had forgotten to cook healthy meals. Honestly when I ate bad it’s like my mind was gone and I didn’t know what to do to get back on track. So the nutrition really helped me. Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of? * I used P90X and ChaLean Extreme during the course of my weight loss. I built so much lean muscle mass that I NEVER had before. I have never had biceps, abs or been able to do more than 2 push ups in a row. I have all of that now. Plus I have a metabolism that burns like crazy from eating every 2.5-3 hours and going by the nutrition guide sent with the programs. I’m just proud that I stuck with it and got those 80 lbs. off that I had gained during my pregnancy. Honestly I didn’t give myself any other choice but to get those pounds off. I think anyone will be successful if they have the proper mindset. Our minds are our most powerful tool.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program? * I am now a Team Beachbody Coach. I started a Facebook Fan Page called Goodbye Fat Hello Muscle and it now has over 20,000 followers. I am helping Women and Men all over the World. And Its all because I decided to workout with P90X. I know that without Beachbody NONE of this would be possible.
