PRIORITIES: Balancing your life and fit life!

So many times I get questions on how I balance my life with my Beachbody life? Well it is kind of simple they are 1 now!!! It may not have been an easy transition and probably took me a good 3 months to get serious about it, but it was all about prioritizing my time!

Balance is something that you want and NEED in your life! I will give you a few steps that have helped me get into the habit of creating my lifestyle!

1. Write out all of the things you have going on in your life. (Work, Family, Hobbies, Fitness, Travel, Parties, etc)
2. Give each area a set time frame (ex. fitness 5-7a, work 9-5p, family time 6-9p, hobbies Sat. 9-12p)
3. Put it on a family calendar (on fridge or wherever you all look), then set alarms on your phone and in your phone calendar… get organized
4. If you have certain goals you want to reach- include your family in them! (workout every day- lose 10 lbs- eat healthier… be able to travel more)

5.Get an accountability partner– someone that will make sure you are on track with your prioritize and goals! Spouse- friend- coach- co worker- someone you look up to and cannot let down!

Once you follow these steps, make a CONSCIOUS effort to stick to it for 1 FULL month! Week 1 will be hard, you may skip something or struggle to get it all done! Week 2, you may find yourself tired and exhausted by the end of the day/week! Week 3 you will start to feel accomplished and successful! Week 4 will be a habit and you will no longer have to sigh or feel unorganized!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND YOU WILL REACH EVERY GOAL YOU EVER SET!

Womens Body Beast Vegan Meal Plan and Goals that make YOU Happy!

Back in November, right around my birthday, I had this feeling of “incompleteness” and I wanted more for my fitness goals…. I threw the idea of a fitness (figure or bikini) competition around and I had so many people say yes and others say no… I got a lot of “it’s going to kill your body and take away time from your kids” and so I just did the Ultimate Reset again and bam didn’t feel accomplished…

I always tell my challengers “you can do it, you can do whatever you put your mind to” and here I was letting myself down- not pushing hard enough- not doing something I wanted to “try”

Back in March I committed to Body Beast with my husband, Chris Minton, and told him and have been still playing with the idea of a competition and he said ok let’s do it! I’ll support you and do whatever you need! So I said ok, never set a date of fully committing and a friend messaged me ” I HAVE AN IDEA call me” yep pretty sure that solidified my decision!!!!!!!

All the details are not final but as of today I am ALL IN 100% so now all I need is YOUR support during this! Help me stay accountable PLEASE!

Quinoa: Cook 1 cup of quinoa to 2 cups water, on stove- combine water and qunioa, bring to boil- reduce heat and simmer until water is all gone! (approx. 15 min.)

I JUST ADD CINNAMON AFTER FOR BREAKFAST =)

Its not always rainbows and sunshine when you are working to reach a goal! My goal is to “tone up” I want lean muscle, less fat, and more definition for my body! First thing I have been doing is committing to the workouts! I workout every morning with my husband between 5-6am, before he has to go to work and before the kids wake up! Second thing is committing to my diet! I have been following the Fix Meal Plan That I made myself during the 21 day fix!

What should I do? “I Need Advice on Snacking at Night”

This is the Message I got that posed my blog for today =) “I need some advice! Lol! During the day while I’m at work I do great with drinking my Shakeology and eating the 21 day fix meals however when I get home I really have a hard time controlling myself from the cupboard.. When I get home all I want to do is eat, eat, eat, and I don’t know what to do and my weakness is peanut butter! Thankfully most of the things I eat when I get home are healthy things but sometimes I go overboard even in healthy food especially on the PB when I get home I feel like oh I worked out I can eat this and be okay then I eat to much for my portions from the 21 day meal plan and then the next day I feel awful and guilty about doing it…what should I do!?”

I use to be the same way!!!! Everything sounded good and I would rationalize in my mind why I deserve to have what I wanted. I workout so I should be able to eat whatever I want-> Wrong 80% of your results come from the foods you eat. What you eat in Private shows to the PUBLIC =)

I use to think” 1 handful of goldfish are fine, they won’t ruin my progress. But goldfish or sweets every night over the course of months can make a difference!!!!

So put on your big girl pants and visualize a stop sign, the kitchen is closed. Grab some green tea and get your mind busy! Your results depend on your ability to overcome obstacles and flex your will power muscles!!!! Throw the  junk and crap away… I had to get rid of Peanut butter for that reason, I would sit and eat it… then another spoonful, one more won’t kill me!

But also have everything prepped so when you get home your snack is ready while you make dinner!!! ALSO start setting times to eat, set alarms on your phone so you eat every 2-3 hours and say ok no fruit after 4pm or NO carbs with dinner…. the more you eat throughout the day… the less you want food at night!!!

ALSO DRINK YOUR WATER! Make sure you drink 8-16 ounces between meals! When you get hungry chug water!

Somoeone posted this picture and it seems wrong, but if you don’t want to be who you were stop acting like that person! CHANGE FOR YOU! Don’t ruin your hard work for a simple snack!
