When you fall down, get back up…..

Sitting here thinking about my journey as a Beachbody Coach and what is going on in my life right now and it made me think of all the times I had to start over!!!

Lets see…. Joined a Gym in 2008 after I had my daughter—7 months into going to the gym daily (waking at 4am because I had school) i found out I was pregnant with Neyko…. After I had Neyko in Oct 2009 I started at the gym again (FAILED— I wanted sleep and the gym was not working for me) THEN I bought P90X off of an informercial in March of 2010— quit 4 week in— i was afraid you succeed… for a full year I tried every fad diet, diet pill, and anything I could get my hands on to try and lose weight while still being sane enough to take care of my kids (yes diet pills and not eating makes you moody and crazy)

Then the LIGHT was brought to me by My coach… for several month she messaged me and messaged me about trying shakeology and I said no no no… then said LETS TRY IT with the discount because I could never help anyone else— So Signed as a discount coach for the 25% and FELL in LOVE!!!!

Was I 100% clean eating and 100% stay on track when I restarted P90X in 2011?? NO… there were many slip ups, many picnics and parties that I would have cake and ice cream and goodies! But I never let that derail me from the success I knew I wanted and I was worth! So I would pick back up and keep going!

3 years into my journey and life happens…. you get sick (i have not felt myself since Vegas (last week in June)) and you eat off track, you miss workouts, and you just want to sleep and do nothing (miserable, unmotivated) yep that has been me! Am I giving up? NO! Am I starting over? not completely but you could say YES! This is Life, This is my struggle… BUT this is me!!!

NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU HAVE TO START OVER, REMEMBER IT IS OK!!! WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE A TIME OR TWO AND WE WILL BE HERE TO HELP AND SUPPORT YOU NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

I have started over more than I would like to admit, but each time I feel stronger because of those obstacles that have got in my way!!!

Fitness Tip: Don’t Compare yourself to someone you are NOT!

If you are not the person you want to be, change! But don’t look at someone that is on Chapter 20 or their journey when you are only on Chapter 1! You have a story to tell and a story to live, when you are just starting out all you can do is compare yourself to the person you were yesterday! We all have a different journey to live and a different story to tell! We come from a different place with different genes! If we can’t be the person we want to be then we need to let the past go and start living for today and put on step in front of the other!!!

What should I do? “I Need Advice on Snacking at Night”

This is the Message I got that posed my blog for today =) “I need some advice! Lol! During the day while I’m at work I do great with drinking my Shakeology and eating the 21 day fix meals however when I get home I really have a hard time controlling myself from the cupboard.. When I get home all I want to do is eat, eat, eat, and I don’t know what to do and my weakness is peanut butter! Thankfully most of the things I eat when I get home are healthy things but sometimes I go overboard even in healthy food especially on the PB when I get home I feel like oh I worked out I can eat this and be okay then I eat to much for my portions from the 21 day meal plan and then the next day I feel awful and guilty about doing it…what should I do!?”

I use to be the same way!!!! Everything sounded good and I would rationalize in my mind why I deserve to have what I wanted. I workout so I should be able to eat whatever I want-> Wrong 80% of your results come from the foods you eat. What you eat in Private shows to the PUBLIC =)

I use to think” 1 handful of goldfish are fine, they won’t ruin my progress. But goldfish or sweets every night over the course of months can make a difference!!!!

So put on your big girl pants and visualize a stop sign, the kitchen is closed. Grab some green tea and get your mind busy! Your results depend on your ability to overcome obstacles and flex your will power muscles!!!! Throw the  junk and crap away… I had to get rid of Peanut butter for that reason, I would sit and eat it… then another spoonful, one more won’t kill me!

But also have everything prepped so when you get home your snack is ready while you make dinner!!! ALSO start setting times to eat, set alarms on your phone so you eat every 2-3 hours and say ok no fruit after 4pm or NO carbs with dinner…. the more you eat throughout the day… the less you want food at night!!!

ALSO DRINK YOUR WATER! Make sure you drink 8-16 ounces between meals! When you get hungry chug water!

Somoeone posted this picture and it seems wrong, but if you don’t want to be who you were stop acting like that person! CHANGE FOR YOU! Don’t ruin your hard work for a simple snack!

Fitness Motivation from yours truly! Beachbody Elite Coach

Nikki Kuban Minton from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, 5 star Diamond Elite Beachbody Coach Gets asked the question all the time, “How do you stay Motivated to wake up early and workout?” Well to be honest it was a struggle when I first started but I knew I had to do it, not only for me but for my family! If I did not workout every day I was miserable! Working out gave me energy, makes me happy, and gives me results! The more I would workout, the better results I would get and in return the better I felt about myself! Every time I would finish a program I would make a bigger goal or something that would help me push through my workouts!

I wanted to give my kids a good role model, I wanted to show them that anything you want to do and put your mind to you can do! I show them that working out and getting fit is fun! They even join me at times!!!

What if your motivation? You need to do it for you, even if you don’t have kids or a husband to help motivate you! YOU have to do it for YOU, what is your goal, what makes YOU happy…. do it for you knowing that it will encourage and inspire others!
