Health Benefits of Cilantro

One of my favorite herbs that can be used in so many of my favorite dishes has some amazing health benefits. Cilantro is part of the Apiaceae family, or the plant species — Coriandrum sativum, which also includes carrots, celery, and parsley.  The entire plant is edible but is used mainly for its fresh leaves and dried seeds. Cilantro is the name of the leaves and stalks, while coriander is the name of the dried seeds. Cilantro, or extract C. sativum, can be useful as a remedy for pain and inflammation according to several studies. It also was found that C. sativum extracts can protect the skin against ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation damage. Check out the link below for some more healthy benefits of cilantro.
