Health Benefits of Peaches

Another July produce item and a favorite of mine are peaches. Peaches are small fruits with a fuzzy outside and a sweet flesh inside. They are related to plums, apricots, cherries, and almonds. Peaches are filled with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They also contain smaller amounts of magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and some B vitamins. All of these vitamins and minerals help in different ways, for example… protect body from aging and disease, contribute to a smoother digestion and healthy gut, help reduce risk factors of heart disease, help lower your immune system’s response to allergens, and may reduce blood sugar levels.
