When choosing your guavas in the store, try picking the softest ones because soft indicates ripe and sweet. Guavas are extremely perishable so it’s a good idea to eat them within 2 days.</p>

The younger ones are usually sweeter… as they age they get a little more woodsy tasting. Turnips can be prepared many different ways, roasting seems to be the most popular and brings the best flavor out. Although I do enjoy roasted turnips, I was more in the mood for a soup to keep me warm on these very cold winter days. The following recipe I found is perfect&#8230;Turnip Soup is rich and creamy, and a great winter meal. The salad on top is completely optional or can be served on the side.</p>

Well, we know that orange juice in particular has a healthy dose of vitamin C in it which supports a healthy immune system, but should we be drinking a glass for breakfast everyday? According to Lisa Cimperman, M.S., R.D.N., L.D., a clinical dietitian and spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, “While juice provides some vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, beta carotene, and potassium, it’s often a concentrated source of the natural sugar in fruit. This means it’s a concentrated source of calories.” Does this mean that all juice is high in calories and sugar? Can we drink a glass in moderation? Tangelos are on the February produce list and are a hybrid of a tangerine and a grapefruit. They have a unique elongated shape with a bottle top neck. Two common varieties are the Minneola tangelos and the ugli tangelo. Tangelos have a sweet and zesty taste with little to no seeds. Leeks are part of the allium family which are related to onions and garlic, but are much larger and they have hairs for roots versus a bulb. Leeks are a great source of Vitamin A (important for eye health) and K (important for bone health), and being only 54 calories per leek, they are a great option when adding to dishes. <p><b>Ingredients</b></p>
<p>1 cup unsweetened almond milk</p>
<p>1 cup ice</p>
<p>1 scoop Strawberry Shakeology</p>
<p>½ cup fresh or frozen raspberries</p>
<p>¼ large banana, cut into chunks</p>
<h3><b>Instructions</b></h3>
<ol>
<li>Place almond milk, ice, Shakeology, raspberries, and banana in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.
