Peaches are on the Summer produce list and are a favorite of mine. Such a diverse fruit that I don’t think it gets enough credit or use in the kitchen. Peaches can be baked, grilled, blended, and eaten raw. They are often used as a sweet ingredient but taste delicious in savory recipes as well like the one below. Quinoa-Arugula Bowl with Peaches and Avocado is a quick and easy lunch option with many different textures, colors, and flavors. If you like quinoa and struggle to find a way to spruce it up, you have to give this recipe a try!!

This next fruit is not only tropical but incredibly healthy. Papaya originated in Central America and Southern Mexico but is now grown throughout the world. Papaya is loaded with antioxidants which can help with inflammation and fight disease. Papayas are high in Vitamins C and A, as well as fiber, which can help with heart health. This tropical fruit is also known for protecting your skin against wrinkling and help your skin recover from damage due to its powerful antioxidants. An interesting fact about papayas for all those pregnant mommas out there, papayas are high in latex which means when you eat an unripe papaya fruit it can actually stimulate contractions!!

The post Health Benefits of Papaya first appeared on Nikki Kuban Minton.
